Transforming education from within

Meet the educator on a mission to revolutionise teacher and leader wellbeing.

Amy Green wasn’t just looking for another qualification — she was searching for a way to transform lives. As an experienced educator and coach, she had a clear goal to bridge the gap between teacher wellbeing and student success. And she knew she needed to build on her skills to turn her vision into reality.

That’s when she discovered the Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. More than just a course, it offered Amy a pathway to genuine, practical change. Backed by science and designed for immediate impact, the Diploma gave her exactly what she was searching for.

Breaking through the struggles facing educators

Before enrolling, Amy wrestled with a growing frustration. She saw educators being asked to teach emotional regulation and wellbeing skills they hadn’t been taught themselves. “Why are we asking burnt-out educators to model emotional resilience for students when they don’t even have the tools for themselves?” she asked.

Amy knew she needed to approach the systemic challenges in schools with proven, science-backed strategies. However, traditional academic pathways, such as a master’s degree, felt impractical and too time-intensive. “I didn’t want to spend weekends writing research essays,” she explained. “I needed something professional, evidence-based, and useful — something that fits my reality.”

Finding the right fit with the Langley Group Institute

Amy’s search for a credible, practical course led her to the Langley Group Institute. Attending an online information session, she immediately felt at home. “Sue Langley and the team were so approachable and helpful. I knew this was the kind of community I wanted to be part of,” Amy shared.

The Diploma stood out for its hands-on approach, practical assessments, and supportive learning environment. “I didn’t want a course that only taught theory. I wanted something that would directly improve my work and personal life — and this program delivered exactly that,” she reflected.

Diving into learning that sticks

Studying online gave Amy the flexibility to balance learning with her professional commitments. “Spending six months in weekly online sessions, followed by six months to review and complete assessments, worked perfectly for me,” she said.

What truly set the course apart for Amy was its practical focus. “The assessments weren’t just theoretical — they let me test the concepts in action, whether in my own life or in professional settings,” Amy explained. This hands-on validation reinforced her confidence in the tools she was learning. “You’re not just absorbing research — you’re living it. That makes all the difference,” she added.

The ripple effect of a career transformed

Since completing the Diploma, Amy has become a recognised leader in wellbeing and leadership. Her expertise caught the attention of an education publisher, leading to the release of two books on teacher wellbeing and leadership. Alongside this, Amy launched her own consulting business, The Wellness Strategy, which supports schools across Australia in improving workplace culture and staff wellbeing.

Amy has empowered hundreds of educators through her business, creating a ripple effect that impacts thousands of students. “I feel a huge sense of purpose in helping educators understand who they are, how they show up, and how that influences students,” she said. “And because of that flow-on effect, it’s a way to change thousands of young lives.”

Advice for aspiring changemakers

Amy believes the Diploma is something everyone should experience. “It’s about gaining the skills to drive real growth, both personally and professionally,” she said. “If you’re ready to make a difference and have a genuine curiosity about positive psychology and wellbeing, this course will give you everything you need.”
