How Nicole Treasure amplified her impact with the science of wellbeing

“If you’re looking for the latest science-backed insights, combined with practical tools you can actually use — diagnostics, tools, apps, and more — then I think you’ll be delighted with this course.”

Nicole Treasure has built a career helping others navigate uncertainty, grow confidence, and move forward in their personal and professional lives. As a strengths-based Executive Coach and Career Strategist, she works with high-achieving clients who often feel stuck — grappling with workplace challenges, difficult bosses, or shifting career paths.

Yet, through her experience, Nicole has learnt that these challenging external problems are rarely solved without inner transformation.

That’s why Nicole continuously invests in professional development, seeking the latest evidence-based, scientifically grounded tools to support her clients. So, when she saw the Langley Group Institute launch its new 11250NAT Certificate IV in Wellbeing Science, she knew it was an opportunity worth exploring.

“It caught my eye because I had such a good experience with the Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing,” said Nicole. “I could see that while some aspects of the course were touched on in the Diploma, this course offered a whole new layer of learning.”

Finding the right professional development fit

In a field where continuous learning is essential, Nicole is no stranger to professional development. With a steady stream of courses and recommendations coming her way, she’s discovered that not all learning experiences are created equal.

Having already experienced Sue Langley’s teaching approach, Nicole knew the Certificate IV would be both rigorous and practical. "I love the way the Langley Group Institute, and particularly Sue, facilitates," Nicole shares. "She casts her net wide in terms of knowledge and resources, then brings it all together in a way that makes it really practical. She shares the research, the findings, and what you can do with it. It’s an approach that really helps you assimilate your learning."

Beyond the course, Nicole also credits the support of the broader Langley Group Institute team for her positive experiences. “The team are rockstars. They don’t just mark my work; they add insights, additional thoughts and commentary, which makes a huge difference,” she said.

With a combination of the latest research, practical application, and a highly supportive learning environment, Nicole knew this was the right next step for her professional growth.

A structured learning experience that works

Nicole says the structure of the course and learning platform made it easy for her to plan her studies and organise her learning around her busy schedule.

“I could quickly and easily see the requirements for each unit,” she said. “Having the workbooks, video content, reading materials, and resources laid out in advance meant I could break my learning into manageable chunks.”

The course gave Nicole the opportunity to test different interventions on herself and experience the impact first-hand before recommending them to clients. "The process of learning the material, trialling intervention strategies on myself for at least a two-week period, and then evaluating progress, makes so much sense to me," she says.

One of the standout tools for Nicole was the Positivity Portfolio, which allowed her to test interventions across different aspects of wellbeing. “It really embedded what I was learning,” she says. “And the support I received was phenomenal — from real people, not a chatbot, and they’re very responsive," Nicole says.

Applying new knowledge to coaching with confidence

Nicole now describes her growing knowledge base as something like a ‘coaching pantry’ — stocked with tools, strategies, and resources that she can draw upon to support her clients.

"As a coach, I don’t always know what ‘recipe’ I’ll need in a given session because it depends on what my client brings to the table,” she explains. “Having a well-stocked pantry means I can always offer something of value.”

Whether it is an article, a video, or an evidence-based exercise, Nicole now has a rich library of tools for her to draw from. "Sue has always encouraged us to share widely as part of her ‘ripple effect’ philosophy. It’s great to have these resources at my disposal, and across different formats that can help my clients."

The course's accreditation also carries weight with her high-performing clients, who often research her credentials before engaging her services. "The Diploma gave me that initial credibility, and the Certificate IV built on that foundation,” she said. “When I reference research from Harvard Business School or Yale that was shared in the course, clients know they can trust the information.”

Learning that creates a ripple effect

For Nicole, professional development isn’t just about ticking a box or meeting industry requirements. It’s about deepening her expertise so she can create a meaningful impact for her clients.

“If you’re looking for the latest science-backed insights, combined with practical tools you can actually use — diagnostics, tools, apps, and more — then I think you’ll be delighted with this course.”
